Supporting Young Athletes

Proceeds from the Jacob Green Classic will be given the Houston chapter of Positive Coaching Alliance, a charitable organization working to develop “Better Athletes, Better People” by providing all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience. PCA works with youth athletes ranging from beginners to high school sports, 5 years of age to 18, and provides workshops for both coaches and parents.

Jacob Green has always been passionate about sports and is strong advocate of helping the youth of Houston. After learning about all the great work PCA does, Mr. Green knew he wanted to become involved with the organization. He chose PCA as a benefactor of his Houston tournament and also committed a $2,000 in scholarship funds to the annual PCA Triple Impact Competitor Scholarship Awards Banquet. Because of his support, a very deserving student from his high school alma mater, Kashmere High School, will be awarded scholarship funds for college.

PrintFunds raised from the Gala and Golf Classic will go toward the PCA 7-on-7 Football Tournament, to be held this June. The tournament is comprised of 16 Houston-area high schools and is unique in that public, private, and charter schools get a chance to compete against one another. Besides the great football and top-notch competition, prior to the tournament PCA teaches leadership concepts to the student-athletes about Honoring the Game and respecting their coaches, teammates, opponents, and the officials. Over the past six years, nearly 2,500 student-athletes have participated in the tournament, many of whom have gone to play college football.

PCA relies on philanthropic support to fund their workshops and online courses to underserved communities. You can support PCA today with a donation in any amount you wish and provide our youth with the leadership, teamwork, resilience, and self-confidence skills necessary to lead our nation.
